Popular celebrity car dealer Ikechukwu Ogbona, aka IVD, was, on Monday, arraigned before the Lagos State High Court in Ikeja for the alleged manslaughter of his late wife, Abimbola Ogbonna.

Recall that Bimbo died on the 15th of October 2022, following an injury sustained from a fire incident that resulted from violence in their home in Megamound Estate in the Lekki area of the state.

IVD was charged with one count of involuntary manslaughter in suit No LD/21055C/23 by the Lagos State Government.

The prosecuting counsel, Adeshola Bello, on Monday at the resumed hearing of the case, informed the court that there was a mix-up in the date the alleged offence was committed.

He said: “We have October 10 on record, but the date was October 12.”

Bello further urged the court to grant the prosecution permission to make an amendment, which the court granted.

Also, the prosecution counsel said that the alleged offence contravened Section 229 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
