The Akwa Ibom State Football Normalization Committee has expressed its readiness to encourage and support Akwa United in the upcoming season.
The committee made the announcement during a pre-season meeting with the management staff of Akwa United at the conference room of the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.

Akwa Ibom State FA chairman Prince Bonny Nyong said the meeting was necessary to enable the football association to know the state of preparedness of the state flagship team, Akwa United, ahead of the new season.
The Chairman of Akwa United, Elder Paul Bassey, assured that the team is ready for the season with the recruitment of quality players as well as a new coach.
The Promise Keepers will begin their 2023-24 Nigeria Premier Football League campaign against Bayelsa United on Saturday.
The match is billed for the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa.
