“This is going to be our first home match in front of our fans and we know that they deserve the very best from us because we have enjoyed tremendous support and encouragement from the Pastor Umo Eno-led government who have put everything at our disposal to guarantee a hitch-free season,” Osho told the club’s media.

“We are in good shape to go all out and give our best to ensure we achieve our target which is to win this game for our beloved fans and the wonderful people of Akwa Ibom State.

“We didn’t get the result we wanted on Matchday 1 but we have put that behind us and we are focusing on the game at hand. We have worked really hard since we came back from Yenagoa and I’m happy that the boys have shown serious improvement in training and I’m confident that they will take that sparkling form into the match proper on Sunday.”

Sporting Lagos defeated Gombe United 2-0 in their maiden Nigeria Premier Football League game on Monday.
