EPL: He’s so rated by Klopp – Fowler identifies manager to succeed Liverpool coach

Former Liverpool forward, Robbie Fowler has identified Brighton and Hove Albion boss Roberto De Zerbi as the manager to succeed Jurgen Klopp at Anfield in the near future.

Fowler insisted that De Zerbi is so rated by Klopp, whose contract with Liverpool will expire in 2026.

Over the last year, De Zerbi has received plaudits from some of European football’s biggest names because of his team’s brave and attacking style of play.

However, Klopp is one of the many admirers of De Zerbi.

After both teams’ 2-2 draw at the Amex Stadium back in October, Klopp spoke highly of De Zerbi, insisting that the Italian ‘should not be underestimated’.

Given Klopp’s admiration for De Zerbi, Robbie Fowler believes he could be in line to take over from the German at Liverpool in the coming years.

“He’s so rated by Klopp, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Liverpool manager saw him as a natural successor,” Fowler said (via The Mirror football).
