Everton fans have told the Premier League they have picked on the ‘wrong club’ ahead of a weekend of protest against the Toffees’ 10-point deduction.

The penalty imposed by the Premier League last week for Everton’s breach of profit and sustainability regulations has sparked a backlash among the club’s supporters.

Indeed, furious fans are busily preparing protests ahead of Everton’s match against Manchester United on November 26.

While the club have vowed to appeal the sanction, supporters groups have highlighted the need for wider change in the Premier League.‌Chair of the Everton Fan Advisory Board, Dave Kelly told SKY BLAST TV: “We will show a worldwide audience on Sunday the Premier League has picked on the wrong club in Everton, and the wrong place in Goodison Park.

But this is just the first page and first chapter of what will be an extremely long book, we won’t be going anywhere, any time soon – we want to get football back on the straight and narrow, and that means real change at the Premier League.”
