Boboye targets winning start at Heartland


Newly appointed Heartland head coach, Kennedy Boboye will begin his reign at the club with the oriental derby against a rejuvenated Enyimba side.

Boboye was appointed head coach of the Naze Millionaires this week.The 50-year-old enjoyed a good record against Enyimba during his time with Akwa United.The tactician recorded a win and a draw against Enyimba during the 2020-21 league season.Boboye will hope that his arrival can help inspire Heartland to their first victory this season.The Owerri club are winless after nine this season.

The former NPFL champions occupy the last position on the NPFL table with a paltry six points.Boboye, who won the NPFL titles with Plateau United and Akwa United in the past, possessed the expertise to turn the fortunes of the club.

Enyimba heads into the game in good form after recording victories in their last two games against Lobi Stars and Bendel Insurance.
