Mauricio Pochettino will have to watch from the stands as Chelsea visit St. James’ Park to face Newcastle in the Premier League on Saturday.

Chelsea head north to take on Newcastle on Saturday afternoon with the aim of making it four games in a row without defeat.

However, they will have to do so without their Argentine coach giving instructions on the touchline.

Pochettino will not be present because he must serve a touchline ban. The coach was shown a yellow card for storming onto the pitch to argue with referee Anthony Taylor during his team’s 4-4 draw with Manchester City before the international break.

It was his third booking of the season, resulting in a suspension. The manager revealed he is going to punish himself for the misdemeanour.
