USWNT star Sophia Smith makes Forbes 30 under 30 list after breakout World Cup and prolific NWSL season for Portland Thorns

USWNT and Portland Thorns forward Sophia Smith has been included on the Forbes 30 under 30 list for North American sports.

The 23-year-old, who won the 2023 NSWL Golden Boot with eleven goals, was included in the annual list by Forbes alongside some of the brightest talents in their respective fields.

Smith, who became the first teenager drafted into the NWSL when Portland selected her in 2020, enjoyed an impressive season in the league and is now shaping the future of the USWNT, despite a disappointing end to their 2023 World Cup campaign on penalties to Sweden.
