Former Scotland international, Graeme Souness has insisted that Manchester United forward, Anthony Martial represents a decade of poor football decisions at Old Trafford.
Souness said this while suggesting that the Frenchman should leave Man United. This is coming after Martial’s poor display Man United’s 1-0 defeat to Newcastle in a Premier League tie over the weekend.
Martial has struggled to show consistency following his £36m move from Monaco to Man United in 2015
“It must be four or five years ago I wrote that this had to be Martial’s last-chance saloon. They gave him another contract and he didn’t deserve one,” Souness told talkSPORT on Monday.
“By mentioning his name, what I mean is, they have, for a decade, made consistently poor decisions in the footballing matters.
“Martial represents, for me, a decade of poor football decisions in the fact he’s still at that club.

“I’ll tell you what happens with Martial. You watch him in training one day and go, ‘bloody hell he’s a player, there’s a real player in there’, but how many chances does he need to prove he’s a big-club player? His chance went five years ago, he should not be there.
“He is just one of several major footballing decisions they got wrong.”
