Sunshine Stars head coach Edith Agoye has encouraged his players to continue to improve ahead of their subsequent matches in the league.
The Owena Waves beat Sporting Lagos 1-0 at the Akure Township Stadium on Sunday.
Moses Omodumueke netted the only goal of the game in the first half. Agoye said he was delighted to secure the victory against the resilient Sporting Lagos team.

“We are glad we picked maximum points against Sporting Lagos,” he told the club’s media.
“Much work needed in subsequent matches, we won’t relent.”
