One of the tricyclists, simply identified as Joshua who spoke to SKY BLAST TV, said the sale of the tickets and stickers is a major problem for them, saying it affects their business.

A 50-year-old man, Rafiu Ayantayo, who stood as surety for his son, Biodun, was on Thursday docked in an Iyaganku Magistrate’s Court, Ibadan, for allegedly failing to produce him for trial.

The police charged Ayantayo with perverting the course of justice.

The police had charged Biodun with housebreaking and theft.

Earlier, the Prosecutor, Insp. Toyin Ibrahim, informed the court that Rafiu failed to produce him in court on March 26, as promised.

Ibrahim said Rafiu committed an offense contrary to Section 126(1) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.

The defendant however pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The Magistrate, Mrs Kausarat Ayofe, admitted him to bail in the sum of N50,000 and two sureties in like sum.

Ayofe held that one of the sureties must be a blood relation to the defendant.

She adjourned the case until June 4 for hearing.
